專業工作經驗

Naseem在旅居北美期間研讀美國侍酒師協會ISG 與英國葡萄酒與烈酒教育基金會WSET 課程。取得ISG文憑之後在加拿大高級餐廳擔任侍酒工作,也在大型進口商Liberty Wine Merchants 從事零售與業務工作,持續累積葡萄酒的專業知識與經驗。

在工作之餘也從未間斷對於翻譯與寫作的熱愛,Naseem擔任北美世界日報The World Journal美食專欄作家、美國Northwest Palate 雜誌特約作家與長榮航空機上雜誌特約翻譯與作家,亦是葡萄酒權威雜誌Decanter中文版的特約作家與翻譯。

因為寫作的關係,Naseem有機會深入探訪世界各國葡萄酒產區,多次前往法國、西班牙、義大利、斯洛尼亞、克羅埃西亞、美國與加拿大等重要產區,並參與當地酒莊採收與釀製的協助工作,對於當地風土民情的熱愛不亞於杯中佳釀。

在2008年返台之後,有鑑於台灣侍酒專業未受重視,Naseem決定先從教育開始紮根,在台推廣國際酒類認證課程ISG 與WSET,Naseem成為台灣第一位有資格教授ISG與WSET的講師。並於2009年受邀到西班牙雪莉酒產區接受訓練,成為全球第一位華語雪莉酒授證講師。目前擔任台灣酒研學院教務總監,教授WSET與ISG課程。

Naseem於2010年與台灣知名作家林裕森發起成立台灣侍酒師協會 TSA (Taiwan Sommelier Association),目前當任TSA常務理事,協助提升台灣侍酒人員的地位與專業。TSA是台灣唯一專業酒類社團法人組織,並與法國食品協會舉辦兩屆台灣史無前例的侍酒師大賽,受到法國侍酒師協會ASI (Association de la Sommellerie Internationale) 的肯定,目前TSA已成為ASI的觀察會員國之一,有資格選派台灣選手參加國際侍酒大賽。

Naseem接下來的夢想是拍攝完成一系列的葡萄酒美食節目,將世界各地的葡萄酒與美食文化用好玩有趣的旅遊方式,介紹給電視或網路媒體的觀眾。

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

Taiwan Wine Academy 07 - 
Naseem was the first certified wine educator in Asia to teach in Mandarin (for the International Sommelier Guild (ISG)). She continues to teach wine programs provided by the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) as well as many other curricula from regions around the world. In 2016 the Taiwan Wine Academy has established itself as one of the world’s leading institutes for wine-education. 

Vinotalk 12-14 
Wine celebrities continuously pass through Taipei, and until recently they came to meet their importers, perhaps a few VIP collectors, but their message reached only these select few. With the support of HOPTV, Tom and Naseem interviewed winemakers and winery owners live online, and after a few days the interviews streamed live. Decanter Magazine, Chinese Edition 09-13 
As an Associate Editor of Decanter Magazine (Chinese Edition) Naseem selected articles from the English-language edition, commissioned articles from Chinese writers, occasionally translated articles, and contributed generally to the process of producing the bi-monthly Chinese Edition.

World Journal Jan 08 -- Dec 08 
Naseem produced a bi-weekly column on wine and wine lifestyle for The World Journal, a Chinese-language daily in Vancouver, Canada.

LIBERTY WINE MERCHANTS 06- 08 
In conjunction with her pursuit of a Sommelier Diploma, Naseem became a founding staff-member of Liberty Wine Merchants’ Robson-Street store. She worked there three days a week as a wine consultant explaining wine characteristics and suggesting parings to interested clients.

O’Doul’s Restaurant 07- 08 
Naseem trained as staff sommelier in Vancouver’s most successful Jazz Club/Restaurant/Wine Bar, picking up front-line service experience.

Naseem is an authorized instructor for the South of France Master Program.

FORMADOR HOMOLOGADO del VINO de JEREZ 2009 
At the invitation and expense of the Conjejo Regulador in Jerez, Naseem traveled to Spain to study in the annual sherry-educator’s course supported b the king of Spain. I was the first certified Sherry Educator to teach in Chinese.
